Frequently asked questions
Answers for clinical services, hospital IT, procurement teams and partners evaluating the NerveDX platform.
Questions
What problem does NerveDX solve?
Long-duration and continuous EEG produce hours of signal that must be reviewed by scarce expert clinicians. NerveDX is a workflow platform that helps services navigate recordings faster, prioritize attention with governed AI-assisted triage, document findings consistently, integrate results and preserve an auditable clinical record.
Is NerveDX just an AI seizure detector?
No. AI triage is one governed component inside a broader platform covering review and playback, qEEG navigation, human confirmation, structured reporting, EMR hand-off and audit. We are workflow-centric, not algorithm-centric.
Who confirms AI findings?
Clinicians remain in control. AI outputs are an explicit workflow stage; expert verification, correction and sign-off are first-class, documented steps with provenance for model identity, version and configuration.
What EEG settings do you focus on first?
Our primary wedge is ICU/cEEG and long-term monitoring - high-burden long-duration review workflows. Architecture extends toward EMU, ambulatory and broader neurophysiology settings as evidence and integrations mature.
How do pilots work?
Pilots are structured to measure practical outcomes: reviewer time saved, turnaround, triage precision, report consistency and service throughput. We agree scope, KPIs, governance boundaries and support before starting. See ICU / cEEG for the KPI frame, the Trust center evaluation pack to share internally, or contact us to discuss fit and timing.
Can we deploy in our own environment?
Deployment models depend on customer requirements, data residency and integration needs. We design for hospital-grade multi-tenant separation, controlled access and auditability. Discuss your environment with us under NDA for architecture specifics.
Do you integrate with our EMR?
EMR integration is a core architecture concern, not an afterthought. Integration scope (systems, message formats, deployment phase) is agreed per customer. See our Integrations & deployment page for HL7/FHIR patterns, data residency and deployment models, or share your EMR landscape and we can outline a practical integration path.
What is your regulatory status?
The platform is in development and pilot evaluation. See our Legal & Company page for the current regulatory summary.
How do you handle privacy and security?
Privacy-by-design, tenant isolation, audit trails and GDPR-oriented controls are embedded in the architecture. Website chat and forms are not for patient or clinical data. See Security & Compliance and our Privacy Policy.
Can we review security documentation before a pilot?
Yes. Start with our public Trust center for policies, pilot PDF and regulatory summary. We can share architecture, governance and compliance materials under NDA for procurement and security review. Use the contact form with subject “Trust center - security review”.
Do you work with research partners?
Yes. We collaborate with clinical advisers and research partners on workflow validation, usability, evidence priorities and pilot design. See our Partners page for collaboration types and how we engage. Our focus is the regulated clinical workflow layer - we aim to complement strong EEG/AI research groups rather than duplicate them.
How do partnership conversations work?
We use a disciplined engagement funnel - from initial qualification through discovery, validation and formalisation. We are actively seeking design partners and clinical validation collaborators; we do not publish confirmed partner names without permission. Start with the partnership programme overview or the Trust center evaluation pack.
Do you replace our EEG machines or Persyst?
No. NerveDX is a workflow layer after recording. It is designed to sit beside acquisition hardware, existing review stations and detection tools where they remain in use. See Integrations for planned import paths (BDF/BDF+/EDF/EDF+, synchronised video, hospital export) and what is assessed per site.
Do you have peer-reviewed performance data?
Not yet on this website. The Evidence hub is the single public place for publications, posters and permissioned pilot summaries. We do not publish algorithm metrics or outcome claims without supporting data.
How do I book a demo?
Use Book a 30-minute demo on Calendly. For security packs, NDA, pilots, partnerships or hiring, use the contact form. Do not attach patient data or EEG files to either channel.
How is the team structured?
We are an Iceland-based company building a cross-functional team across clinical workflow, platform engineering, quality/regulatory affairs, security and commercial operations. See About - Team for our disciplines and open roles.
